Isn't he on pace for like 16-20 league goals or close to? Four at just about the 1/4 mark and still getting up to speed. Had that PK he won vs Newcastle taken away from him as well.

I get the impression that he feels under the spotlight just now. His celebrations have been very muted and he looked almost embarrassed to celebrate his first after the brief drought until the team encouraged him to. Get the feeling that if he’s fit and continues to get some goals, he’ll grow more confidence and improve a lot. Loved his last performance, his pass to Trossard was one I didn’t think he could pull off. Frustrating timing for him if this injury is more than just a little precaution

He also looks quicker in those clips, am I imagining that?

He definitely looked a lot quicker last season. Not even sure what it is but I think running around like a madman rather than conserving your energy and knowing when to strike probably has a part to play. I remember Ollie Watkins did an interview last year or the season prior whereby he said he was doing less of the those runs to the corner flag etc and focusing more of his attention on being direct which improved his numbers.

lmao, oh yeah i remember newcastle rejected that is grandpa chris wood who scored 20 goals last season

It’s funny how people try and downplay what he done last season like he didn’t score 6 goals in 8 apps in the CL too 😂 I’m sure he was playing against 38 year olds in that competition lol

Next they’ll say he scored a hattrick vs City in the CL, so that figure is inflated. Usual rubbish.

Happy with him so far, hopefully getting a rest midweek.

Sesko looking very promising as well, unfortunatley. Maybe not what we needed this season, but he will explode at some point if united dont **** him too hard.

This same Sesko?

Yeah I honestly think he's exhausting himself between the much more intensive demands of leading our press(something people said he wouldn't be able to do which he's doing exceptionally well) and all of the runs he's making in possession. I think his conditioning will both elevate to meet those demands and perhaps like Watkins he will get better at picking his spots and pacing himself.

He played against Burnley. Let’s not get carried away. I think the reason he was chosen ahead of sesko and ekitike is because he’s willing to defend and press. But he will end with 15 league goals

He didn't train with the team today, according to Swedish press. Really hope it's something minor.

When rubbish like Frankenstein and Chris Wood have hit double figures in this league then I find that hard to believe.

They're tried and tested vets of the premier league though. Chris Wood and whoever the hell Frankenstein is are going to look big and quick in Portugal if they play in a system like Sporting.

He's still adapting to the level increase and we don't know yet if he's going to cut it like Wood and Franky has.

Pre injury Raul Jimenez was one of the best strikers in the PL and was attracting the likes of the top tier teams in Europe. Done the business in Portugal and made light work of England before his injury.

17 goals + 7 assists in his first season at Wolves then 27 goals and 10 assists second season at Wolves in all comps lol but I do understand the same could be applied either way. All dependant on the individual.

Somebody needs to assess Teta's training methods. Thats far too many injuries in this early stage of the season.
