He does his best, can't ask for more. Against a team built for half a decade to play haramball expecting him to take over Havertz is just silly optimism.

Was decisive against Olympiakos, and shows initiative on matches where we don't have many ideas going. If his busy work really frees up Saka consistently he's doing a lot more than the likes of Ødegaard already.

We need to back this man. He came for the football and to win trophies

I personally would’ve wanted Sesko to join us (maybe because I heard about him first, he was hyped up, and apparently I don’t have an opinion of my own). Anyway, what convinced me was the fact that Viktor specifically wanted to play for us. It’s important to me that our players want to play for Arsenal and want to win trophies for Arsenal. Things don’t always go the way we hope, but the romantic in me wishes this will work out, just like I once hoped Wenger’s youth project would.

The guy’s 27 years old and they felt he’s not ready to start after spending two years in the country before? 🚩🚩🚩🚩

To be fair most of AM here agrees with that as well. He is still adapting to the team and give him more time like half a season and goals will flow.

If he were to join Man Utd. They would have make him the main man like Amorim does at Sporting. Bruno be floating ball after ball to him in transition which is the type of passage play to him people in this thread would dream of. He would definitely be far more than just an efficient squad player opening up spaces for others.

He made an excellent choice to join us to win trophy but I feel that he made a bad choice footballing wise for himself as well where our play doesn't compliment to his strength.

He's had plenty of balls played in behind for him. And he's either been too slow or technically deficient to make use of them.
Apart from the many he hasn't been able to get on the end of , he's had a few where he does and then tries to take on a defender and loses is easily or falls over the ball like at OT.
He had one at bilbao and port Vale where his touch was horrible and the defenders were able to get across easy and disposses him.

He looks slow because, when he’s making his runs, he’s usually busy trying to wrestle free from his marker. He’s fast enough when he’s played into space and not being held back.

His first touch and technique aren’t great, but that was well known when we signed him. We wanted a prolific No. 9 on a budget, and his ability reflects his price tag.

Would Isak, Ekitike, or Šeško have been better options for us? Sure — but going for them would’ve meant we couldn’t fix our Achilles’ heel from the past few seasons: quality depth.

Utd fans still living in denial that they didn't try for him. Lol. More players will start rejecting them.

United used to have all the money + recent success so players naturally chose them. Now they have the same spending power as 7 other EPL teams and bottom half finishes, its no wonder no one chooses them anymore.

There's no way Arteta would have briefed that to anyone.

But there's no way he planned on Gyokeres starting every game immediately, especially given the ridiculously tough schedule we were given. He would want to get him used to the team and vice versa, instead he's had to play him every game with little rest.

If people want to judge his contribution, it should be when he's had sufficient rotation. We should simply be grateful he's remained fit through all these fixtures, particularly with the Geordie **** hacking away at him.

Let down by both Isak and Bergvall for Sweden today

Can't find the third clip but also headed down a ball in the box for Bergvall who proceeded to flub it again.

Dunno why you guys are getting so precious about him. Anyone with any footballing knowledge can see he's awful and completely out of his depth.
If we signed him from Chelsea and was playing like this the pitchforks would be out. He's championship standard at best.
Because he is doing something we really needed that is keeping CBs tigh and occupied and that is giving us more space to other players. You just need to read football beyond of just rating false 9s or Haaland.

Havertz is not even helping Saka, he is actually doing it harder for him over crowding the right zone.

This is why I'm not worried about him at all. The parts of this game like that is people were concerned about have been largely very good. It's just a matter of him not having a high enough volume of chances to do what he's good at and get in a rhythm. By the end of the season, I think we'll have forgotten the slow start.

That is totally overlooking Harvertz contribution defensively and being a massive aerial duet monster. Look at the amazing amount of ground he covered.

Say if you give Harvertz instruction to just stay upfront and not drop back to win duets, he's can keep CBs busy as well with his technical superiority to control the ball.

We are hyping up "keeping CB busy" as some sort of gifted talent.

it is plain ignorant to think Kai shifting to the right is not an instruction by Arteta, same as Ode dropping back a lot to get the ball from our defensive end.

Arsenal Quotes

Arsenal have got as much chance of being handed the title by Sp*rs as I have of being given the Crown Jewels. They are the last people we want winning the Championship. Now we mean to round off our season by beating Arsenal.

There is no way we were going to be beaten
