Tried his best, just about good enough to be a PL winning striker.

But yesterday exposed (well not even exposed, we knew already) that a decent amount of our squad aren’t CL winning quality.

And that’s fine, every side that wins a CL has to fail a few times before they get there. Gyok isn’t in the final CL winning version of this team. Not playing significant minutes anyway

Good season behind him.

Lot of the times he was stuck with very poor winger displays over the season, not to mention that midfield didn't do much besides when MLS replaced Zubimendi which sparked us to win the league.

It has shown in the CL final that he is the type to be reliant on having good effective wings that can create something in a match of that scale. Saka and Leo, Martinelli and Madueke are not those wingers that can work well with this type of a striker, and besides all, our wingers are extremely selfish and simply don't want to use this guy as a focus player to get the balls to.

I still haven't seen him utilized as much as he can be, so I expect and hope that we will get better wingers on both sides (yes I'm looking at you Saka as well), since I know this guy can bag 25+ in the prem if we had more of a decent wingers at both sides.

Technically he isn't too sound, but goal scoring wise, when he gets the chance, it's likely to be a goal, and if we actually try to (like we did recently) play to his strengths, this team has another spark to add besides the usual routines.

Thank you for the league contribution Viktor, well done and you were a good signing.

We won the league this season because of our record Vs the bottom 14 and he was a part of that improved form. Would love him to be like Dzeko was for City. Start some games, come on in some games as a sub.

If we aren't going to play to his strength of running channels on quick balls then we should just sell

The issue is he is no where near the level Dzeko was.

I dont think people realise how unusual it is we won the league with him up top. It’s not going to happen again.

That's what I meant though. City had Aguero with Dzeko to take some minutes off him.

Dzekos PL scoring rate was the same as Gyokeres' this season. We need another striker no doubt.

People don’t understand if you do something unique one time. You can make it the norm. We had none of our attacking players make the team of the season. Not even near the team and not one top striker. What we did was unusual and took hard work as we had to fight playing so many close games

Some people wanna go through the same struggle again when we don’t have to

This season, I always backed Gyok. Thanks to him, we managed to win the EPL. However, if we want to reach the level of teams like PSG or Bayern, I think we need another striker with better technical ability, someone who can hold up the ball and escape pressure effectively. Gyok is a bit limited in those aspects. That said, I'm still happy to have him in the squad as a squad player.

Our starting striker in the the league win. We never won the league with any previous strikers under Micky, nor would we have if we relied on then them this season as Havertz was injured for so long.

So Micky has to decide something. One guy is maybe not top quality but decent enough, other guy might have more to his game without being clinical but struggles to stay fit.

One of the big conundrums for Micky. Can’t sign another striker with both of these remaining.

Agree. I probably sell Kai and get a replacement with some of his qualities but who is more clinical

Gyok can still easily hit 15 PL goals for us next season. Can see him getting 15-20 especially if we fix up our attack, he'll feast on fodder teams. He's a profile that we don't have at the club so I'm happy to keep him. Also has elite mentality.

He may score 15 goals but it will be to the detriment of the rest of the attacking players.

Let’s be real here, he can’t be a starter next season if we want to kick on.

he scored 14 this season i'm expecting to at least get close to 20 in league next season he'll be more settled less pressure on him too because we won the PL but all depend on how Mikel approach if he kept playing same tactics it's going to be more of the same Gyo is a player who excellent in box so if you want goals from him you simply have to feed him because from 5 chances i'm confident he score 3 of them.

He's got progressively better output in his second season at Sporting & Coventry so there's hope still I think as he adjusts to the league. The games he's played at his best have been devastating but it's all been a bit too inconsistent.

Agree with what @GDeep™ said above - it's a big decision now between Gyokeres & Havertz who are both more than decent but not obviously elite. To evolve the team we'll ultimately have to move one of them on, but it's not obvious which one it should be... Havertz maybe shades it for me as the better player who has a bit more versatility with his big game performances and aerial ability. I'd keep Gyok for another season at least though, and if we go for a Kroupi type signing who can play in other positions that could work well.

You can equally say we would have been better off if he scored against the top teams as well. It goes both ways.

I'd sell completely. If he's not pressing he's a ghost a majority of the time.
