Yet you are here, football man.

The amount of stick this guy gets even before he signed, when he signed and even in the run-in where he doing a great service to the team, he gets stick.

It's unfair criticism, selective scapegoating and just ignoring lot of other problems that present way more issues than he does.

And all that in a ****ing pre-season game. I'll be here when he still is our number one goalscorer fyi.

In other words, people knew he was crap before he signed, which we called out, and now you’re angry at us for being proved right.

Every criticism of him his backed up with stats. He’s not good enough, it’s about time you accept it.

I think some people thought ok Haaland is poor footballer, so as long as he scores we be fine. But he’s not a good goal scorer either

After a full season there’s no doubt whatsoever he’s not good enough. But at Arsenal there’s this weird thing with our fans you deserve a second season no matter what. I’m not buying if no Alvarez we have to keep him. There’s so many strikers better than him logos mid table teams

He isn't crap. Best striker we have in this team, whether you like it or not.

Sure, if you can find somebody to replace him that is better fairs - but on the market there isn't anybody available to do that unfortunately.

Stat wise he is still our number one goalscorer and he had a good second half of the season in a team that he very little clicks with - it could be a mismatch for all I know between the way we play and his strengths, and you can't deny that.

But as a footballer, he is not what you and other claim to be, if he were he would not be making Isak look like a bozo in the NT, neither would we push to add him to the team if there wasn't something about him.

There is something, but time will tell if we can unlock that aspect of Gyokeres in this career.

****ing mad how everybody jumping here after a ****ing preseason game, it's actually wild how many of yous can't wait to see this guy flunk.

He's not better than Kai ffs. He's not even better than Merino

You are yet to list what he does well?

All of the "he'll only get better after a year to adapt" people learning a 28 year old doesn't all of the sudden learn to trap a ball, shield it, or dribble all of the sudden over the summer.

To quote Wenger:

"First comes the basement, the base of a player is technique. You get that between the ages of 7 and 14 years of age."

He isn't going to improve in that aspect. He might learn how to ride challenges and make quicker decisions but this version of him is as good as it gets on a technical level.

I can see our attack sputtering out and him getting A LOT of stick before Arteta does something that revives our attack not really involving him so much.

That's my hunch anyway. Hope he shows most of us wrong and racks up 30 goals

For someone who is built like a brick sh*thouse, he goes down so incredibly easily whenever there is the slightest bit of contact and is not cute enough to win a foul. All that muscle and adds nothing to his game.

think I’ve seen Sunday league games, with players hungover from the night before, that have more technical ability than this guy.
I say this as someone who backed and wanted him to do well.
However, Ekitike was my choice of CF last summer, and I still think he’s the best of the 3 that were available (Ekitike Gyokeres, Sesko)
