it is not quite optimistic that he would suddenly click with his teammates, and understand the movement of them so that he would make the necessary and correct runs.

you know the chance is slim, very slim; and I don't even need to mention he needs to work on some of his basic skills.

14 premier league goals in this market is surely worth 60mill even at his age. Can't even come off the bench. The club's mind is clearly made up imo. Think he'll be gone by next summer.

It is a bit unfortunate.
When Kai is fit, pretty obvious that partnering him with Ode, Saka and Tzolis is the best; that leaves Viktor to pair with Eze and Madueke.

Won’t those the players that were smashing the smaller tournaments last season? Play Eze in his correct position and he is dangerous.

Hi. Big portuguese fan of Gyokeres here and Arsenal are my second club.
Sad to see him struggle, he was very good in Liga Portugal at Sporting. The last world class number 9 to leave our league was Falcao 15 years ago..
You guys think he can be close to Falcao prime level at Arsenal?

Cheers

At this stage I would be happy if he could come close to Prime Bendtner ffs

It's a long season with lots of matches. He will play. Anything could happen. One injury to Havertz and he's our main striker again. Yes he does not quite fit the attacking style most favoured by Arteta and the team but he is very efficient in other situations when fed the ball in the box. Also an excellent penalty taker. Some of the stuff written about him is just nonsense. You don't get the European golden boot for nothing. He's a very good player, if even with some known limitations. We would do good to also develop a plan B style to use him well.

what you said were not wrong, I agree most of them maybe except one.
we don't seem to have a plan B to suit him.
This is his second season here, and if there is one, we could and should have seen that style already.

This forum rate Havertz for absolutely no reason at all.

He really needs to do something today. I recognize that we don't exactly play to his strengths and actually now that we're really recommitting to nice and fluid football, it's quite a poor fit but he's got to make more of whatever chances he gets and at least not f*ck up basic actions.

It's not that we don't play to his strenghts, we want him nowhere near the ball at any time.

Any touch he's getting he's basically having to huff and puff for it. Arteta probably chuckles when he sees him attempting another run to see if he finally gets a pass.

he's an innovator, the world's first decoy striker. the strategy is he runs around and forces them to mark him while we pass to everyone else.

Gyok looked extremely out of his depth tonight against a makeshift Ipswich.

He looks so shot of confidence, his value is going to tank if this continues.

I'm kind of shocked at how bad he has been tonight.

Not sure what happened to be fair, he wasn't this low on confidence ever in his career probably.

In duels even that he can win, gets easily dispossesed and ball overturned. Team is certainly not helping but at this moment, I think his mind and focus is not in the right place.

Zero confidence. He must do better.

His problem is that his floor is pretty bad and he needs a lot of game time to get up to his ceiling

And a different style of play to us.

Rooted for him lots last season. But he's just not gonna make it here

Last season for us. Maybe even goes in January if Kroupi can come in

Football is a bit like elections. Before it's unpredictable. After it's unexplainable... But there's an opportunity for us to make it unforgettable.
