This was one of my main gripes with signing him. Gyok's style just wont work with Arteta ball. He needs passes in behind, and Mikel is more or less against doing that.

If we play like we did yesterday in these types of games then Kai makes a lot more sense.

Won't fully judge him till he gets more service but I don't really like what I've seen so far. Looks very limited and clunky. Not much technical ability and isn't really a physical freak either. Konate who's been dodgy ate him for breakfast yday. I'm sure he's a good finisher but think he needs more than that

Ofc he needs more service but at a team like Arsenal you can’t go missing for 90 minutes like this. At the least he should be able to trouble defenders in other ways than just waiting for chances

Also he looks slow I don’t know why but I feel like he’s still not fully fit yet

Yeah I'm not seeing much with him. People get touchy about this but he looks overweight to me. I'm getting more Chris Woods vibes than haaland or Isak vibes with him.

If any manager wants Kai up front over Viktor, then he should be banned from the sport to be honest.

Sick of this sh1t from Mikel 😡

Nothing Wrong With Me
You don’t buy a prolific striker and then expect him to adjust to a team that is used to playing without a striker. This seems to be what’s happening. Martinelli always runs looking at his feet, it’s pointless having him and Gyokeres in the same team.
I can only hope that Eze Noni & Saka adjust to having a striker in the middle. And if Ødegaard doesn’t start picking him out, try Eze in the middle and Noni LW, when Saka is back.

He doesn’t fit in Arteta’s system AND Arteta won’t adjust his system. This is why I didn’t think it would be a good transfer.

Havertz fits because he is fully capable of doing all of the work Arteta demands… but he does struggle to finish.

Not sure how this works in the end, but I’m going to keep supporting Gyokeres and hope that Eze and his creativity makes the difference in his success regardless of Arteta not having any ideas on how to use him.

he likes balls in behind but he doesn't seem quick enough for the prem. Somoene said yesterday it looks like he runs with Timbs on and I fully agree

I'm not gonna pass any sort of jugdement on this guy untill he's been in a team for a while and he's actually had the chance to play with the likes of Eze, Saka and Ødegaard. Cause we have been creating no chances for him, not really even giving him the ball in dangerous areas. Like people have been saying even Haaland would look dead for us up front with that kinda service.

Says Aesthetics Merchants, but really means Trilly

Please watch this when you get the chance. Arteta should encourage his midfielders to take risks in finding Gyokeres. Gary Neville said that Arsenal take more risks in their own half than they do in the opposition, and it's true. Losing the ball up the pitch is nowhere as bad as losing it in your own half.

Essays are my thing
People making judgements about how the player will do or how the manager will use after games at OT & Anfield and a home game in which he scored twice and wasted a great chance probably need to hold fire

In 2 of the 3 games this poor bastard has played, he has not even gotten a shot off because he's been that starved of service. I don't give a sh*t who we're playing. It is unconscionable to me that Arsenal football club can have an attack that can't get its striker a single shot on goal twice in the first three weeks of a season. That is 1000% on the tactics and the manager. The man has been making the runs in every match.

If a control freak like Pep can go away from tactics that got him 100 points to integrate Haaland then this man who has it all to prove should be able to adapt his tactics enough to manufacture a goddamn shot for his striker. 2 shots in 3 games with both shots coming in a single game is absolutely disgusting and it's very clear by actually watching the games that it's not a lack of effort or positional sense on Gyok's part and entirely a lack of urgency and incisiveness in our passing into the final third.

Arsenal Quotes

I don't want the will to educate to be opposed by the will to win. That makes the educator sound like an idiot.
Any manager's approach must be to educate. One of the beauties of our job is the power to influence the course of a man's life in a positive way.
You and me have been lucky enough to meet people who believed in us and led us forward.
The streets are full of talented people but who didn't have the luck of finding someone who placed faith in them. I can be the one that facilitates life, that gives an opportunity
