Who cares about the wow factor of the goals he scores?

Surely it's quantity over quality you want at CF? Give me a striker who gets 20 scruffy league goals over someone who gets 10 bangers in the league in a season.
I think he wants someone like Quaqliarelia. Every goal is a banger but hardly scores more than 10 league goals per season.

Haaland scores mostly from tap-ins and power through 1v1s, nothing wow so he probably don't want him at all too.

Praying we can look back at Gyokeres’ 20 goals for us in his first season and they all tap ins 🙏

Most of the chances we create comes from either set pieces or crosses in the box which doesn't compliment his aerial ability. Tap in chances might be far and few to be honest.
I can see him scoring some worldy goals from left channel into the box run though

Nope, I’m sorry that’s rubbish.

Every game we play, about 5-10 balls are played across the 6 yard box and we have NO ONE taking the gamble and making a run to meet them. So they don’t even go down as “chances” or “xG” - they just go begging. We are screaming out for a striker who just wants to score no matter what, that will make the run to the near post to score a tap in.

Perhaps signing Chris Wood might make more sense for you then. Off the ball runs and tap in clearly is not Gyokeres strength, he is a monster on the run and score most of his goals with ball to his feet run and shoot style

We’ve dealt with this question before on here as well. Look at his goals for Coventry - he is very capable of playing as a traditional 9 as well as someone who works the channels. You’re confusing what he is tasked with doing with what he is able to do.

Maybe you are right but that's because Coventry accommodate him to play as target man though it's Championship level we are talking about.

Just don't see it in Arteta to fit in target man to his tactics, he's more likely to coach every bit of that out of him.

Bit disrespectful to Fab Quags, he had 2-3 good seasons.
I know. Those seasons he scored more tap ins, and was more of a box player. Was very good in his prime.

He became much better when he stop trying to score worldies

Your analysis doesn't really add up. Is the current tactics not one that allows Kai to be the target man in quite a number of games? All the complaints you're making about Gyokeres he's got the ability to perform well in, bar heading, of which we still have Kai and Merino in the team if the need arises to spam in crosses.

If you don't like him it's quite simple to say so, and you're entitled to feel that way, not this weird points you're highlighting.

Sadly I fear you may be right. So far he’s clearly had a penchant for non goal scoring strikers anyway let’s put it that way.

He’s got this one season to show me he can learn from his mistakes otherwise I’m afraid I’ll have to join the merry band of misfits on the other side of the picket line.

He caused Saliba a lot of problems when we played Sporting. He'll be fine in the league with his physicality. Also I think physicality in the league is generally overrated. It's no Sunday league. He's played in the championship which a far more brutal league then the PL.

Yes the intensity of the league is greater. But then again when you play in Portugal where the weather is hotter naturally the intensity will go down. We're seeing it at the CWC.

If we sign him I think he's going to surprise quite a few people. Also I can see him starting on the left too with havertz through the middle.

Not quite, I be very happy if we sign him. Just how tactically to fit him in because being at right place right time is not his kind of play and Arteta likes to use false 9 and not target man. He loves to have the ball to feet to make something happen not to pounce on something.

Being critical on some aspect doesn't mean disapproval. It works in life to develop more critical thinking to get the best quality

The clock is ticking and for under 70m, let's get him and start training. Sesko isn't interested and the only other link is Watkins who was benched for Rashford. Berta has to drive this and force Arteta to adapt and coach more instead of galaxy braining to achieve perfection. With Zubi, Ode, Rice, Saka and MLS, surely chance creation and driving with the ball will improve to create chances for him. Arteta's forward signings are awful so take this out of his hands
