But would you take that part of our history back knowing that we're competing for the league now??

Emery was a stepping stone to taking a chance with Arteta who also was a large unknown when approached.
Arteta was just as unknown when he was hired as he was when Emery was hired. We should have hired him instead of Emery or we should have listened to Arsène and gotten Carlo.

A lot of that was because of the chaos above Emery though, with a lack of structure that has since been fixed. We've already appointed a DoF last summer and that DoF is the one who wanted Lopetegui, so I'd hope there's a shared vision here instead of a rat race of executives behind the scenes trying to fill a power vacuum.

In any case, I'd take less points for better football, at least for the immediate future. I genuinely can't watch our games anymore as it's just so depressing seeing us line up like a team facing relegation against every team.
Emery is also just not the guy for a big club. In your case though, I can understand wanting a more entertaining team. He should have some money to spend as well so hopefully you'll at least get that.

Essays are my thing
West Ham wishing they'd sold him to City last summer....given there were already rumours they really should have done

Not really a sad story, the dumb **** knew he was risking his career with what he was doing.
Too bad he couldn't use some of his salary to buy brain cells before he threw his career down the toilet.

It's sad because it's obviously a serious addiction, given he literally did it for the thrill of it with small **** bets etc.

Doesn't mean he doesn't deserve a lifetime ban, because he does if the allegations are true, but gambling addiction is a real problem and if we always just go "look at the dumb **** lmao" whenever people get exposed for it, we don't exactly create an environment that is conducive to making things better.

It's possible to condemn this while still seeing the human side of it.

if a multi millionaire is betting on his own matches with £7 then there is obviously a deeper problem that a lot of you are simply not getting.

Have none of you ever lived next to a bookies and seen what it does to people or anybody you know?

Arsenal Quotes

I believe the target of anything in life should be to do it so well that it becomes an art.
When you read some books they are fantastic, the writer touches something in you that you know you would not have brought out of yourself. He makes you discover something interesting in your life.
If you are living like an animal, what is the point of living? What makes daily life interesting is that we try to transform it to something that is close to art. And football is like that.
