What games do you play right now?

Unfortunately published by Sony so probably unlikely.

I haven't played it at all in like 6 weeks. Been meaning to get back into it but I've been playing Fallout 4 ever since the PS5 update came out.

Yeah I've resigned myself to the fact that it likely won't be coming out on Xbox. I really only like to play co-op games with some exceptions and this one looks amazing. Haven't really been gaming recently as my gaming group have run out of games to play - we were playing Hell Let Loose for a while but it's gotten a bit stale and it's annoyingly buggy.

Yeah its really too bad not everyone can play HD2 because if you do have a group of friends to play with its genuinely outstanding. That's kind of what has stopped me from getting back into to it as well, I don't have a lot of gaming friends beyond my younger brother and some of his buddies and it seems like they've kind of moved on from it already. Its decent enough playing with randoms but not really the same.

It's on PC if you have a decent one, you can just plug in a controller. Has full cross-play with Playstation users etc.

I finally bit the bullet and bought Elden Ring last Friday. I'm not usually a Soulslike fan as I do not want to invest the time to learn patterns and what not on the struggle bus. I think the last one I played was Demon's Souls on PS3 and I played a Dark Souls game that I can't remember which I did not pay for, for about 10 hours. However, I like that this game has builds and allows you to cheese what you can which I'm sure is sacrilegious to those who are fans. I don't care.

I put 20 hours in this already so I'm officially addicted. Loving the Samurai dual katana build slashing everything up. When I don't have time to do dungeons, riding the horse around the top world just slashing stuff up is more than adequate to keep me entertained. Lol

I'm assuming you're referring to the base game and not the DLC that just got released?

If you're enjoying that, Black Myth: Wukong comes out in August and might be right up your alley. I've been waiting like 4 years for this:

Don't forget Lies of P, by far the best Soulslike not made by Fromsoft:

Genuinely an incredible game.

I've already reached my fill of this game, tbh. The amount of cheese enemies are able to pull off is infuriating. Having players limited to a stamina system that is ignored by the rest of the world is just insane. Lol

I've had Bloodborne in my PS library for years. Never installed it. I used to enjoy the Ninja Gaiden revamp back in the day and have tried Nioh/Nioh 2 but I honestly do not have the patience. I figured it would be the same with Sekiro. Elden Ring helps at least as I can just slice up enemies in the open world and explore when I can't progress the story.

Bloodborne is one of their best games, btw. It's worth getting over the wall.

Difficulty curve is a lot more linear due to it not being open world like Elden Ring, and it's more modern than playing Dark Souls 1 or the Demons Souls remake.

Mind you, it's still difficult, but once it clicks it's VERY good. Same for Sekiro. Both games are very good at taking the little ***** conditioning out of the player by making them realize you need to dodge forwards into the enemy and not backwards trying to flee.

From Dark Souls 3 onwards, they gave enemies (specially bosses) a lot of roll catch mechanics which turn the fights around from being more methodical in learning patterns and having a lot more windows of opportunity to attack into dodge rolling constantly until you get a singular hit in.

Demons Souls remake, despite it's flaws, has one of the best if not the best audio design I've ever experienced in a game.

Absolutely top tier.

Souls like games are not my cup of tea. Life is hard enough. What do you guys think about cheating on single player games? Is it wrong to feel like overpowered with a little effort?

I'd say FF7 Remake/Rebirth still did a better job. Just my humble opinion.

Sound design? Idk. Doesn't feel as crunchy and unique. It added a real weight to your actions.

Also, **** nojima and nomura btw. They jumped the shark way too hard.

Arsenal Quotes

The coach's role is to make the player understand everything that serves the interest of the game. To do this he must speak to the child within each player, to the adolescent he was and the adult he is now. Too often a coach tends only to speak to the adult, issuing commands for performance, for victory, for reflection, to the detriment of the child who is playing for pleasure, living in the present.
