I started a new character before PL was released to get the endings and stuff I wanted all aligned plus the PL playthrough. Game has its issues for sure but Night City is really incredible. The side missions that are fleshed out are worth doing. It's going to stick with me as one of my favorite games of all time. They did a great job of making me think twice about my decisions and doing what I could to ensure I do not help NUSA more than I have to lol.I've been immersed in Cyberpunk 2077 for a couple of months now. It's so good with the Phantom Liberty expansion, I don't really want it to end.
I played about an hour and a half of this and I'm mad because I'm too busy to play more. Game looks and plays great. Combat is awesome.Didn't even get that far in Oblivion and then, suddenly, I downloaded Clair Obscur on my PS5 because my friend kept telling me about it.
This game is a masterpiece. Gameplay, story, music. All top tier. This is what gaming is all about.
No microtransactions, no stupid gatcha stuff in between. Just you and the game.
Yeah I completely agree about the shards and braindance stuff. Only parts of the game that seem tedious to me. I get why they do the shards for the lore but it's clunky. Elder Scrolls has the same issue with all the books you can read. I like the FromSoft approach of hinting at lore through visual storytelling and brief item descriptions. But that wouldn't really work with the amount of lore that Cyberpunk wants to give you I don't think.I started a new character before PL was released to get the endings and stuff I wanted all aligned plus the PL playthrough. I wish they did not tie most of the lore to the shards you have to find and read. That takes my immersion out of the game. I get that they wanted lore from the table top game put in but that wasn't the way to do it, imo. The braindance stuff was also a strange extra activity that wasn't fleshed out at all. I'm sure they had ideas for it originally but eventually scrapped it all.
The IP going forward should be in good hands though. I'm looking forward to more games.
I bought the game too and for me it just didn’t work at all. A melancholic game with hardly any sense of hope, a combat system that was too difficult even on easier settings, and the lack of a map which constantly led to frustrating feelings of being lost were all just too much for me. I do see the game’s potential but this time it just wasn’t for meDidn't even get that far in Oblivion and then, suddenly, I downloaded Clair Obscur on my PS5 because my friend kept telling me about it.
