This goal is really one of it's kind.

It's a very good goal I'll raise you

I would have had Cesc as a Liam Brady type legend, before his move to Roman's Chelski...you can't sign for Chelsea (of that era) no matter what and be an Arsenal legend, tbh.

Yes but in the past we had players leave us for other top English sides and I don't think we've hated them for it. Ray Kennedy left us for Liverpool sometime after winning the double and won loads of leagues and European Cups with Liverpool. I don't know if he was hated in the fanbase but I suspect not. Because Michael Thomas, Rocastle and Merson were not. Petit wasn't either. Even Anelka and Overmars weren't hated. I think it's only since other EPL clubs overtook us and we became a selling club that's it's really hurt like it did in those Emirates years

Because Lungberg was good but not that good. It's the same thing as many average Man United players having loads of honours.

If we had a time machine we could probably sub out Lungberg with Theo Walcott and we'd be just as good in Lungberg's period with Theo. Nevermind if we subbed him out for someone like Alexis Sanchez

I got slaughtered on here 10+ years ago for making that exact Ljungberg vs. Walcott point

I mean while I found him very frustrating Walcott's end product was better playing with worse players. Neither players had great dribbling or playmaking ability, both were at their best as runners. Lungberg got fed by Henry, Pires, Bergkamp and Kanu. Theo in his prime had lost Cesc, he got Santi in the middle for a season and when Özil first joined they looked like a marriage made in heaven but they didn't play long enough together before the injury.

Walcott was also pretty much on fire from 2012-2014 when his ACL injury ruined him.

Possibly the scorer of the greatest goal in the history of our club so yep that’s a legend in my book
Seriously? How old are you? It's in the conversation for second greatest goal in the history of the club. But the greatest is set in stone for all time. (Hint, it had an anniversary this year . . .)

P.S. I note others have qualified with greatest Prem goal or greatest Emirates era goal, but as you didn't, this is one of the few times I feel comfortable calling an opinion wrong.

I believe a few of our current players will be legends one day, but I made a mistake calling it too early as people usually need years to see it

Ljunberg has been slept on with time, I'm also guilty of it. Better than Saka is perhaps a convo for some people but Walcott

Walcott was not fit to wear the shirt for a long time. I always liked him but the guy could barely kick a ball, we talked up his numbers to be kind.
