Ao Ashi - an anime series about the journey of a young kid into professional football. No Captain Tsubasa bulshit powers. Very humane approach for football academy (which is if you suck, you got expelled). valid tactical football matches.

Giant Killing - an older anime series/manga series (the inspiration for Ao Ashi) about a manager to a football club. It has everything, from manager vs manager rivalry, player vs manager tension, club management, young player rise to fame (and the negative side), and even older supporter that left when the club got relegated vs newer supporters who stay through the relegation and promotion.

Some good picks here already.

Always enjoyed There's Only One Jimmy Girmble, with the way it portrays City as the people's club it's very funny to watch with the state of them now 🤣

Damned United is probably my choice, Michael Sheen is outstanding in it.

Whats the worst thing about Green Street? The Plot or Charlie Hunnams accent?

F*ck me forgot about Hunnam’s Cockney by way of Gateshead accent

Absolutely atrocious ffs. The sequels are somehow worse than the “Rise of the footsoldier” ones and that’s saying something.
