The problem at Juve for Henry was he was played out of position and not given a fair chance. Henry is very emotional and mentally this experience destroyed him. He lost all his confidence and thought he couldn't make it. Arsène Wenger and Arsenal came to him in his moment of need and told him that they would help him. People laughed at Wenger when he said he would make him into a striker. People questioned Wenger when he never lost faith in him and kept playing him. Henry found his confidence and as they say the rest is history

At Barca Kluivert is living it up like a big star. Partying, going out etc. His love for football isn't there anymore.

Henry's desire was always there but his confidence was gone. Kluivert's desire is gone. See the difference?

I really don't know, from what I hear I think he might be. I hope not as he is a very gifted player who could become trully world class if he put his mind to it.

All this talk about the second striker. I think with Henry around, we have two strikers firepower already. The second striker will help ease things out for henry. Personally, Aldi can do the job but a second striker who can score tons of goals for us and take attention away from henry to work on his magic would be good.

Alan Smith? Hard working Striker :)

There's all this talk about Smith and Defoe. But honestly, if we are going to go for a striker of their quality then what's the point? Kanu and Bergkamp are just as good as them two. And Aliadiere has much more potential then both of them and is probably even better then them at the moment. If we are to get a striker they should be world class so we should save our money.

But IMHO, neither Bergkamp nor Kanu are exactly goal scorers anymore...and Ali still has a long way to go. Ali certainly isn't yet worthy of a regular starting XI spot alongside Henry.

Our second striker(s) need to be scoring more.

Yes, but look at how often Smith has scored in the past couple of seasons. Defoe also wasn't a bag of goals when he played in the Premier League. Bergkamp and Kanu aren't prolific goalscorers at the moment, but Henry is. If Henry was injured then we might need someone else. Look at how Ljungberg has come along recently. He is scoring at will. IMO it's only a matter of time before Bergkamp starts scoring regularly for us. More importantly is that we have two midfielders who's strengths are scoring goals, which allows a player like Kanu or Bergkamp to drop back.

Eidur Gudjohnsen would be a great partner for Thierry Henry. He has pace and great finishing - currently being left to kick his heels behind more illustrous goalscorers like Crespo, Mutu and Hasselbank (sp?).

I wonder whether Chelsea would be interested in selling him to Arsenal for a small sum? ;D

Completely forgot about him. He would be a good signing considering he's not cup-tied. Don't know about his teamwork though. He seems very talented, with good technique and would poach goals.

lol, don't take it so personal, just cos we call him a druggie doesn't mean he is one (although I think there's something off with missing a routine drug test) :whistling

Have you ever been to a Spuds forum? Their favourite word for Henry is cheater or c*nt

Don't ask me what I was doing on one of their forums though

no..it's kinda pissing off accusing someone of which he hasn't even be proved guilty off.nicknames aside but this kinda goes over the limit to be frank.

Look at it from a different perspective, I think we are not going to sign a youngster.

What we need right now is a second big name player up front, to draw the attention away form Henry.

So that leaves 2 cheap options, Rivaldo or Kluivert. preferably both.

Players like Robben are amazing, scored a good goal against Depor, but didn't do much else. Robben would leave Cole to much exposed.

And i still think that Van Persie would be a great talent for us to sign cheap.
