Think the player of the level of Zaha is not a diamond at all. I’m his biggest fan on here and have wanted him for 7 years.

Just a very good winger, nothing special at all.
Unfortunately some people will refuse to believe that. There's a reason he's spent so long at Palace and why there seems to be no interest for him outside of us.
It'll be exciting to have a direct winger like Zaha in the team, but some people are getting carried away with his ability and his value.

He's one of the biggest entertainers in the game. He's tricky.
He's pacey.
He's direct as ****.
He's driving defenders nuts.
He's exactly what we wish for.

But he ain't worth 80m.

They’re getting carried away because it’s clearly a position we lack in and Zaha will bring something that we haven’t had for years. The gulf in class between Zaha and the likes of Mkhitaryan/Iwobi is another reason why the fans are getting carried away.

If you’re still not convinced then I suggest you rewatch the Liverpool vs Palace game last season at Anfield. Zaha was a nuisance that game and Liverpool (arguably the best defence in the PL) had problems containing him. Klopp had to adjust his tactics to double up on him and they resorted to kicking him off the pitch. Anfield was the same place that we got sp*nked 5-1.

But we got sp*nked 5-1 because our defense and midfield is utterly worthless compared to Liverpool's............. will signing Zaha really change that? If you want us to beat Liverpool at Anfield replacing Xhaka with Ruben Neves is more likely to help us than signing Zaha would. Wolves actually managed to beat Liverpool.

We'll still get spanked by Liverpool, but by 5-4 instead of 5-1.

Let's face it, fans from City, Real, Barca, Chelsea etc would not even debate about this deal as we do. It's just down to our ever financial limitations on the market.

Anyone without talking money would straight up approve this deal, especially after years of thurst for a quality winger and the **** we got offered on the wings, but we all know our deals affect other deals and future windows.

Other fans don't think about this..

If he gets us back into the CL, no one will remember that we paid 10-20M too much.

As things stand with Tierney, Ceballos and maybe someone to replace Kos I think we're about on par with Chelsea and United. He would be the signing that would take us past those teams instantly. Well worth the money considering Chelski can't buy and United look lost as ever.

Kaveh and the other guy are on the Palace payroll.

Expect news about who Palace want as part of the deal soon.
