This is an impossible debate to have because the last crop of genuinely world class CBs for Arsenal came from a completely different era. He obviously dunks on the likes of Koscielny, Vermaelen and even Mertesacker but I don't know how you even start comparing him to the likes of Adams, Keown, Campbell etc. It's way too early to do it anyway.

Only thing we can say is if he maintains his current level for the rest of his career and wins some big stuff in the process, I don't see how he isn't in the conversation for Arsenal #1.

He's the biggest CB talent since Varane I think.

If Real has a strong contingent of young many french players destroying the Cl at an even faster rate; then we really need to worry. Saliba is on Real’s potential list, he would walk into their side and make them better and he would be guaranteed of a CL. If we want to keep a player of Saliba’s quality for long another year we fail to win a big trophy and he might not resign. Madrid want him, he would improve them, and they are putting together a historic team that will rack up CL next 5 years. Cl is like WC of club football for establishing legacy of players.

Yoro is 18, Saliba is 23. After next season Saliba will have 5 years of top flight starting experience and is ready for prime time now. Yoro playing for Lille regularly looks good but Saliba is ready now and his age profile fits the core they have now. Yoro’s best could 7 or 8 years away where as Saliva is ready to start for Madrid today.
