• To all AM members and guests.

For the start of the new season, Arsenal Mania has relaunched the news side of the site. All articles are written by genuine Arsenal fans with no hidden agenda. You can visit the site via the menu at the top of the forum pages or go direct to our homepage

Additionally, Arsenal Mania is now sending all its registered members a bi-weekly Briefing Bulletin containing a digest of news and views from both parts of the site. Some of you may have already received the first edition and those that haven't should do so before the big kick off against United. If you are a guest visitor to this forum then if you join as a member, you will automatically receive the Bulletin.

Please support both these initiatives and help ensure the long term future of our site.

Saliba was immense yesterday. As a CB myself

If he does extend past his current contract and stay with us long term (don't think he will, think he's a Madrid player in a year's time) then he could go down as one of our two best ever CBs alongside Tony Adams in our all time Arsenal teams... assuming he wins at least a Premier League or Champions League (a few more cups too, tbf) here.

As I said I don't think he will get enough of a legacy due to Real, but the fact I think he can do it shows what a talent he is...world class defender.

We are lucky to have him elite young CB, plays above his age.

People talking about his long term future, well 3 years left on his contract I agree in that barring injury he will end up at Real Madrid. Its not a deal I'd think about doing until he has a potential 12 months left be it any extension or not.

Best centerback in the world right now. Maybe Dias and Rudiger are close, but he is better than both by a noticeable margin

Also why was McGinn trying to beef Saliba of all people, William is like twice his size when he's lying on the ground ffs!

The English codified the rules of football just as the French perfected wine. We don't often ask an English person to come over to make Bordeaux.
