William Saliba: Rolls Royce

He has one foot out the door. Let's hope we can keep him.

There's nothing here that indicates he has one foot out the door. In the summer he said he has no plans of leaving Arsenal and he wants to win everything here. He's playing for the club he supported as a kid and is probably the 2nd or 3rd most popular player after Saka and maybe Ødegaard. He's given no indications he wants to go anywhere, on the contrary he's saying he wants to win here.

Shame we are going to lose him to PSG.
Why would he go to PSG? If he wanted to be at PSG, he could have forced a move there when it looked like Arteta was never going to give him a chance. Madrid is the threat, especially given his relationship with Mbappe. It will be them or he'll spend his prime here.

He wants to win 'titles', Bruce. Easiest route to do it is with PSG in Ligue 1. 😉

The fact he's less decorated than Harry Maguire in the past two years, is a disgrace on our part to be honest.

What I love is how well he and Gabriel are suited as a partnership, it's almost perfect.

You've got Saliba the cultured , composed modern CB with a bit of that French arrogance.

Then you've got Gabriel, bit more old school, bit more in your face, more demonstrative.

It's like one of them is the heart and the other the brain of the partnership.

Nobody respects those "titles". He just saw everyone hound his mate Mbappe to go and win some proper ones in a real league.

Zero chance he goes back to the French League now, tbh... he's past that level.

Feels like Henry to Barca though, feel he's a nailed on Madrid player at some point sadly.

He's really been let down by club and country. He'd have a World Cup, Euro and 2 leagues if his teammates were nearer his level. Still pissing on Maguire in terms of individual honors though.

I am stunned he hasn't won anything yet, despite pretty much being the best performing CB in the world the last 2 years...though I still think we win something in 2023 if he didn't get injured v Sporting, probably the Europa.

Still plenty of time on his side though, him (and Big Gabriel) have indeed been let down by us pretty much everyone else at the club for not winning the title last season...feel those two were faultless.

Arsenal Quotes

One of the things I discovered in Japan was from watching sumo wrestling. At the end you can never tell who has won the fight, and who has lost, because they do not show their emotion because it could embarrass the loser. It is unbelievable. That is why I try to teach my team politeness. It is only here in England that everybody pokes their tongue out when they win.
