i think he was fine after that, even that mistake, it happens, we pushed up, nervy, big game. He is still young for a CB. Nothing to complain about here. He will only get better

you know how cooked we’d be without him in there and Huijsen cleaning up. Look at the way Bournemouth set up compared to what we were doing last night and even at the Bernabeu.

Our backline was pushed up at times and had to sniff out the danger from Doue, Dembele, Kvara, Vini, Mbappe and Rodrygo over the QF and Semis. You don’t get the luxury to do so with a Huijsen imo, we were pretty much afforded a cheat code with the speed of matching those attackers in his recoveries and putting his frame in the way - not everyday you find a defender who has a blend of both and Real Madrid know that.

And you how difficult will be replacing CB like Saliba? Yeah we need like get lucky and find CB who ready to preform the same and there is no even Huijsen the guy still 20 years and with arsenal he'll be exposed and will need a year to get use to.

Gabriel was equally poor without Saliba last season - the two are just formidable together.

It's not even a negative accusation that he is missing the leadership skills. He is just 24 and always was under the leadership from Gabriel during his whole time here.

But times like this give you a good chance to improve your leadership.
