Still Pining for Wenger
Even if you did get paid thousands of pounds you wouldn't find anyone for £18m over 3 years, No Fee is key!

This is only true if Willian performs well. We could also be throwing away £18m. 18m when we're on a budget and can't compete on wages and transfers with the other top clubs.

A "small" waste of money is still a waste of money because it all adds up. How much has our penny pinching cost us over the years? Not just off the field in terms of finances but on the field through poor performances by said "bargain buys". Which in turn cost us off the field as well. When we finished outside the top 4 that cost us millions in revenue.

Clear downgrade on our current attack ffs.

Our current attack has had to play on the counter since it’s not good enough. When we went 4 at the back vs Villa it’s clear we are lacking.

We were talking about 50 goals which is our average over the last 3 years. You're changing the goal posts. To prove what?

Tell me another team with with 50 'goals against' in the top 4.

Who knows what's gonna happen next season though...maybe most teams will still be poor defensively, maybe Saliba will be our new Sol, maybe we won't concede as much (haven't we been pretty decent since Arteta took over?) lets see how it goes.

Last few games very creative, prior to that he's struggled. Sometimes badly.

Wasn't a massive fan, but coming around.

He’s not a creative midfielder though is he? He’s clearly better in deeper areas.

Who in our squad can create chances like Özil, Ramsey and Mkhitaryan were able to before they left?

People crying about his age are hilarious. This is the profile of signing we need to supplement our team. This is the type of player Auba will look towards as a key signing.

Nelson, Pepe, Bellerin, Saliba, Tierney, AMN, Torreira, Ceballos, Martinelli, Saka, Nketiah, Willock all aged 25 or under. We need proven experience.
thankfully it seems Arteta sees it that way too

People seem to think Auba will stay in the left but for me if he’s getting £300k a week you don’t keep Laca as well. He’ll need a new contract this summer and would want over £200k a week so that’s just a no go. That would mean Auba up front and Willian on the left.

Reading your posts you would think we’re Bournemouth.
