Dok, you ****, he plays as a LCB for you no? Do you think he'd be good at RCB partnering Koscielny?

    Answer me now.

Koscielny is right footed anyway so if Reid plays LCB I don't see a problem if Koscielny moves to the right.

He plays both positions, seems comfortable in both.

I have my doubts about him being a good partner for Koscielny due to how aggressive they both are, but considering he's currently doing a stellar job playing alongside James Collins, it'd probably be fine

Didn't Kos play RCB when paired with TV at LCB?

And that was a partnership crafted in heaven

Positioning for the CB's is really important, Mertesacker and Terry for example both look lost when they switch to LCB (Per) and RCB (Terry).

Lovren recently said as well he prefers playing as the LCB and looks even worse when played as the RCB.

Not exactly the strongest link/update in the world, but Reid just purchased a new apartment in London, which you'd assume means that he's at least planning on staying in London.

Could mean a deal is in place for January or a verbal agreement has been made for next summer. Could also mean that he's going to sign a new contract with us though.

It's a good investment even if he moves tbf

Can see him joining Liverpool or Sp**s next summer. Utd need a CB but they'll spend big on a flash name.

While we'll most likely settle for Mings as a LB/4th choice CB option.

Yes, yes, Johnny Cross has spoken.

Cross linking us with Reid is porn like material.

Reid would be a good signing but you do wonder if we'll ever splash the cash on the defence under Wenger.

If we sign that Celtic lad I'll give up on us ever winning the league again, he's absolutely wank.

That guy is decent but not Arsenal quality and Wenger wont sign him. The media just make up these stories, as you and I know.

Thankfully mate, seen a few on here happy us signing him, he's QPR level. Reid is a solid defender, an upgrade on Mertesacker and he'll probably do well alongside him until Koscielny gets over his injury problems.

    Reid, Koscielny, Mertesacker, Chambers.

Good selection of CB's that, if Chambers explodes it's one of the best in the league.

Because he plays for Celtic I haven't seen enough of him, esp. over full 90 minute matches to know outside scouting reports, so out of interest what are you gents basing this opinion on and what are his perceived deficiencies, esp. in relation to Reid (and not just PL experience)?

I've watched a bit of him as I live close enough to both Celtic and Rangers stadia.

No idea why hunter is down on Van Dijk that lad will move on to a mote glamorous league and look the part. You only have to look at Forster, Wanyama, Ki, Naismith as players who have moved from the goldfish bowl of Glasgow and done well for themselves in clubs fighting for European spots.
