My worst take this season was definitely expecting Tottenham to eventually improve their game at some point. Never saw their injury woes lasting this entire season too, let alone ending in a proper relegation fight.

Stick by this. Raya's very good performances in May did not wash his nervous wreck performances in April or his mistakes throughout this season.

Raya gets all the credit for the clean sheets whilst the likes of Saliba, Timber Rice don't get their sufficient dues of providing Raya the most easiest job in football.

Raya still hasn't provided a season of consistent quality that the likes of Ramsdale, Leno and Szczney have done before him (without Rice a may add) who often saved us points rather than cost us points as Raya has done on many occasions.

At present Raya is up there with the likes of Diaby, Partey, Bellerin, Song, Ramsey and Giroud as one of our overrated players in my lifetime.

I liked Szczesny but when was this supposed season of consistency with us?

Szczesny was very good in the 13/14 season.

Ramsdale was amazing in his first season and very good in his second where he got into PFA TOTY, he was more deserving of it in his first season.

Leno lacked the technical ability with the ball to his feet however was a very underrated and excellent shot stopper for us with a defence no where near the standard we have at present.

The only Arsenal goalkeeper definitely clear of Raya in my time supporting Arsenal is Seaman, you could maybe make a case for Jen's.

Leno, Ramsdale etc aren't close to Raya's league.

I don't want to talk Ill of the dead but Alex Manninger was a very, very average goalkeeper.

Yeah, I wasn't a fan of Raya at first either. I didn't understand at all why he was signed or why Ramsdale was pushed aside. But right now, Raya is one of the best goalkeepers in the world. I mean a genuinely match winning goalkeeper. I'm happy to eat my hat and admit that I was wrong about him.
