I know Arsène is quoted as saying yaya toure is a great player, but I think people on here hype him up far too much.

If he was that good, he would have moved to a big team in Spain or Italy. I dont even think he is first choice for his country. And I dont think he is that young - 21?

I doubt anyone apart from the Belgium guy has seen him play on here. I didnt go to Barnet when he played for us, by I know people who did who were far from impressed with him. I also remember seeing him miss an open goal from about two yards out with a header from the highlights I saw.

Playing good in the Belgium league does not mean he is going to be the new Vieira.

Thats what i was just thinking.. was it Fiszman who said it ? or was it David Dein when a "vieira-type" player was spoken of?

Just for the record, he has 4 goals in 80 appearances. I'm not sure wether that's good or not for a defensive midfielder of his apparent worth. I suppose you'll just have to wait and see.

I hope you've got enough material to form your own opinion of him. Some of you don't trust me, but I have to admit, I'm not that objective or unprejudiced.

I'd look more at other stats like passing, tackles, etc. It's certainly not good for only 4 goals in 80 games but I doubt Gilberto or any other "defensive midfielder" is that much better

Bloody hell he is built exactly liek Paddy - actually at some moments he looks like a copy of him.
And he can bloody score :)
And I totally loved his headers .
