Roma club legend Francesco Totti has no doubts Henrikh Mkhitaryan will be one to watch in Serie A this season.

The Armenian, 30, joined the Italian giants on a season-long loan deal from Arsenal at the start of September after seeing opportunities at the Emirates Stadium become increasingly limited.

Mkhitaryan tallied just six goals and four goals in all competitions last season and had failed to get off the mark so far this term, but Totti is adamant the former Borussia Dortmund star will be a success in Rome.

“Mkhitaryan can bring quality and quantity, so it’s a good move,” the 42-year-old told Sky Italia (via Football.London ).

Mkhitaryan struggled for form in his 18 months at Arsenal

“He hasn’t always played regularly over the last two years at Arsenal, but I hope he can feel at home at Roma.

Mkhi’s short-term exit has effectively edged Reiss Nelson up the pecking order. The Englishman started the opening two league games, but was dropped for Nicolas Pepe against Liverpool and Tottenham.

Going forward, the youngster is likely to rotate with Pepe and co up front and be afford plenty of minutes by Unai Emery.
