Arsenal could see senior players leave their ranks before the start of the new Premier League season on August 11th and one major deal is being reported on the continent.

Metro quotes Turkish outlet Fotospor as stating Galatasaray’s sporting director Cenk Ergun has flown to London to hold negotiations with Arsenal and Mohamed Elneny regarding a potential £10m.

The news follows reports that indicated Leicester City had a bid of the same amount accepted by the Gunners before the Egyptian midfielder rejected a move to the Foxes as he loves life in London- so it’s likely he’d then reject a move to Turkey.

24-year-old Elneny has struggled to establish himself as a regular within Arsenal’s set-up since arriving in North London from FC Basel in 2016 and made just 14 Premier League appearances last term, only eight of which were starts.

It seems that Arsenal are prepared to sanction a deal but a departure would raise questions as to whether the Gunners will bolster their midfield as a result, as Wenger’s side also risk losing Jack Wilshere, Alexis Sanchez and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
