Former Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis is plotting to bring Lucas Torreira to AC Milan.
The 54 year-old quit the Emirates after ten years in charge at the Emirates to join AC at the San Siro.
The Serie A giants missed out on Champions League football next season, finishing just one points behind rivals Inter Milan.
However, with a new boss set to take charge imminently, Milan are set for a big spending spree this summer.
The diminutive midfielder’s bundle of energy and sharp tackling saw him become an instant his with Arsenal supporters in his debut season in north London.
It was Gazidis who brokered Torreira’s £26m move from Sampdoria to Arsenal last summer.
Tuttomercatoweb write that Torriera has shown no indication of wanting to return to Italy but ‘it is a hypothesis that could become something more in the coming weeks.’
