Borussia Dortmund superstar Marco Reus has grabbed the headlines today, after shunning the likes of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo to choose Arsenal’s Tomas Rosicky as his favourite ever player.
Reus, a lifelong Borussia Dortmund fan, has idolised veteran midfielder Rosicky ever since his playing days with the German side; where the Czech Republic international played a crucial part in the 2002 Bundesliga winning side.
Quoted by The Mirror, the German international stated he could not separate Ronaldo and Messi- but overlooked them both when revealing his all-time favourite player.
“That’s really difficult to say. Both are playing at a high level. They have been above everyone else for some years now. They possess qualities which other players don’t have and they have consistency.”

The pair brushed shoulders when Reus was a part of Dortmund’s academy, whilst facing-off against each other in the Champions League since.
