Arsenal fans have questioned Alexis Sanchez’s recent rise in form.
The Chilean scored a brace and his fifth goal in his last nine games as Arsenal closed the gap on 4th placed Liverpool to one.
Sanchez is out of contract with the club next summer and will leave for free should he not sign a new deal – something that appears certain.
Despite Arsene Wenger’s insistence he will not be sold in the New Year, the 29 year-old continues to be linked with a January switch to Manchester City or Paris Saint-Germain.
The Chile international came close to a summer move to the Etihad, but was forced to remain in north London after Arsenal failed to secure a replacement.
After a slow start to the campaign, Sanchez has picked up form in recent weeks. And with just a few days until the window opens some are questioning whether he’s simply auditioning for his potential suitors.
