Manchester City midfielder Jack Grealish has given a good review of Arsenal forward Gabriel Jesus, with whom he shared the first year of his City career.

THE LOWDOWN: STRONG IMPRESSION

Grealish joined City in a shock £100 million move from Aston Villa last season. He was teammates with Jesus for one year before the Brazilian left the Premier League defending champions for Arsenal at the beginning of the current season.

In that time, he left an indelible mark on the Englishman, as he has revealed in his latest media outing.

THE LATEST: ‘BEAST’ IN TRAINING

“Ask anyone that’s played with him – I know he’s getting more recognition now, but he’s the main man,” he said via The Boot Room.

“In training, honestly, he was frightening. I spoke to Saka last month and he was like, ‘Jack, he’s unbelievable.’ Jesus’ play is just this mix of proper rawness and skill. He’s a lovely guy, but he’s so hungry and aggressive when he plays.”

THE VERDICT: TOP MAN DESPITE RECENT STRUGGLES

Jesus has played second fiddle to Tottenham Hotspur forward Richarlison in the ongoing 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. Brazil manager Title has preferred the former Everton man and his decisions have paid off as Richarlison has delivered the goods.

Jesus, however, has provided threat off the bench, mirroring how he has played for Arsenal this season.

Despite not scoring since Arsenal brushed their North London rivals aside in October by three goals to 1, he has hit the ground running at the Emirates. His contributions have been key to Arsenal staying at the top of the table going into the World Cup break and the Brazilian remains unbothered about his goal drought.
