The changes at Arsenal are well underway following the arrival of Unai Emery.

A few days ago, Santi Cazorla was shown the door and now the club has now officially confirmed Japan international Takuma Asano has joined German outfit Hannover 96 on a season-long loan deal.

The 23-year-old joined the Gunners in 2016 but has been unable to compete in England due to failing to earn a work permit.

Asono spent the past two campaigns on-loan with VFB Stuttgart and helped the club seal promotion to the Bundesliga.

The youngster could now push closer to earning German citizenship which will in turn help him in his quest to land a work permit for England. Still, it remains to be seen how the regulations will change after the United Kingdom leaves the European Union.

With all the uncertainty, it’s possible that Asano could end up leaving the Gunners on a permanent basis without ever kicking a ball for the north London side.
