Arsenal hero Martin Keown has been full of praise for his old side following their progression to the Europa League semi-finals.

A 3-0 aggregate victory over Napoli saw Unai Emery’s side book their place in the last four where they will meet Valencia at the Mestalla on May 2, before a clash at the Emirates a week later.

Keown, who made 386 appearances over the course of more than a decade with Arsenal, believes Arsenal made light work of their Italian counterparts.

“1-0 to the Arsenal. There is an old ring to that.” Keown said (via Football.London). “Napoli could be here until midnight and I don’t think they would score.

“The two strikers was a good call and Arsenal were so dominant in the end.”

“It was very comfortable.

“Arsene Wenger never won a trophy in Europe but Unai Emery could do it in his first season.

“The Premier League is better. It’s linked to the finances and Italian sides are not able to compete. The quality is just so much better. ”

With the race for the top four hotting up, Arsenal still have the Premier League holding their full attention.
