Marseille are considering a January swoop for Jack Wilshere, reports say.

The Arsenal star is still yet to be offered a new deal and has just six months remaining on his current contract.

Wilshere has expressed his desire to remain at the Emirates and negotiations for a new deal are expected towards the end of this month.

But according to The Sun, Marseille are set to try their hand at luring the playmaker to Ligue 1 with the attraction of regular first-team football in the south of France.

Wilshere has been used sparingly in the Premier League this season, with Arsene Wenger restricting him to domestic cup and Europa League starts.

After enduring a career plagued by injury, Jack is beginning to find his feet and recently started two games in the space of four days.

The midfielder’s biggest focus is ensuring regular playing time ahead of next summer’s World Cup finals in Russia.
