Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has been put on red alert as speculation around the future of summer target, Wolfsburg’s Julian Draxler, has intensified after very candid comments made by his agent.

However, the Gunners face a tough battle on their hands as Italian champions, Juventus seem to be the favoured destination for the Germany international.

Speaking to Tuttosport, Fabio Parisim the agent the former Schalke man, who arrived at Wolfsburg for £30m last year, said:

“[Juventus manager] Max Allegri had spoken to Draxler, they were in sync and there was an immediate rapport between them,

“Wolfsburg have strong owners, but unfortunately for the German fans, everyone wants to leave there.”

The Old Lady aren’t the only other top club chasing the signature of the 23-year-old playmaker as, according to Parisi, they was an approach from French behemoths, Paris Saint Germain during the summer window.

“Over the summer Draxler was on the verge of joining PSG, who had offered nearly £59m,” he said.

As per the comments of his agents, the World Cup winner seems desperate to part company with the Bundesliga outfit and move onto bigger things.

“He will definitely leave Wolfsburg at the end of the season. He would’ve gladly run to join Juve and is the ideal trequartista for Allegri.”

“I repeat: Draxler will leave, but whether or not Juventus are interested again is another matter.”

Wenger clearly has a battle on his hands, however, with Draxler’s future causing such a stir it is clear that it is a battle worth winning.
