Arsene Wenger has been in charge of Arsenal for more than 21 years, but never have the fans and the manager felt so distant.
The Gunners boss saw his side drop to 7th in the table after Wednesday night’s goalless draw at West Ham. Arsenal are now two points behind Burnley and a staggering 19 adrift of runaway leaders Manchester City.
It’s not just matters on the pitch which continue to be a concern, but Arsenal are seemingly just as flimsy when it comes to handling player contracts. Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil and Jack Wilshere are all out of contract with the club at the end of the season and not one of the trio appear any closer to signing new deals.
After dropping out of the top four for the first time under his reign, failure to surmount a genuine title challenge for the umpteenth year, the inability to deal with deals off the pitch and fans showing more apathy than ever, we want to know, is Arsene’s time up? Or are we not giving the boss enough credit?
