Arsenal were given a huge boost today as Hector Bellerin put pen to paper to sign a new contract with the club.

The right-back, who has gone from strength to strength since debuting in 2014, has committed his future by signing a new six-and-a-half-year deal worth £100,000-a-week.

It’s great news for Arsene Wenger, who can now concentrate getting new deals for both Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil over the line. The Spaniard expressed his elation to have signed the long-term deal.

“I have been here a long time, I feel like this is my home and this is the right thing to do,” Bellerin said.

“I am very happy to still be a Gunner for many more years.”

It was widely rumoured that the 21-year-old rejected interest from Barcelona and Manchester City to extend his stay with The Gunners.

Bellerin is currently sidelined with a groin injury and will miss Arsenal’s next nine fixtures. However, just to tie us over in the mean time, we’ve picked out three of his best moments so far in his time at the Emirates…
