Henry’s 14 greatest moments in an Arsenal shirt

Thierry Henry - Arsenal's record goal scorer

On behalf of Arsenal-Mania, happy birthday to king Thierry Henry! Arsenal’s greatest ever player turns 38 today, and no amount of birthday cake can sufficiently thank him for the job he’s done for the club. The ultimate goal machine he was, and how me sorely miss his presence. Going over yet again his long list of accomplishments and accolades would be tedious and oh so predictable, so we figured it would be much more fun to re live some of his greatest moments.

The man scored 228 goals for the club, and we would be here all day if we were to re visit all of them. Seeing as how he pioneered the number 14 shirt at Arsenal, we figured that would be a good number to stop at. Have at a look at 14 of the greatest moment from Arsenal’s great number 14.

In no specific order of course, because no one should have to decide between such masterclasses.

vs Sparta Prague 2005

Fair enough…

 vs Real Madrid 2006

The day Ronaldo met his successor to the thrown.

vs Tottenham 2002

In the odd chance you weren’t aware or have been living under a rock, the celebration for this legendary solo effort is what inspired Henry’s statue in front of the Emirates.

 vs Inter Milan 2003

Three for one special. What a moment for Henry and Arsenal.

 vs Man United 2000

The commentary, just like the goal, never gets old. “Henry…What a goal!!”

 vs Charlton 2003

Too easy

 vs Wigan 2005

Is that enough? Henry scores a free kick but is judged to have taken it too quickly by referee Graham Poll. He steps up and buries it again, turning to the ref and asking “is that enough?” Legend.

vs Charlton 2004

 vs Chelsea 2006

Whoopsies! Excuse me sir, you dropped a goalkeeper!

vs Chelsea 2004

vs Watford 2000

What defence?

vs Man City 2004

Yep

vs West Ham 2002

Don’t get too close

vs Leeds 2012

Not as flashy as the rest, but always gets a place for the sentiment alone. Joined the club for a second spell on loan and still produced the goods after all those years. You can see what it meant to him as well.
