Alex Iwobi believes Santi Cazorla is the most skilful player he’s played with.
Cazorla has been out of action since suffering an achilles injury in October 2016. However, the silky Spaniard is expected to return in the New Year.
Iwobi meanwhile has come on leaps and bounds in the past year for both club and country. The Nigerian scored twice for his national side as Nigeria beat Argentina 4-2 in midweek.
Despite Cazorla’s long absence, Iwobi still holds the playmaker in high esteem.
“Unfortunately, he is injured now, but I have to say Santi Cazorla,” said Iwobi, when asked by Soccerladuma who is the club’s most skillful player.
Iwobi has been part of the Arsenal set-up since 2004
“When I first entered the team, I was baffled that he is so good with his left foot and right foot.
“I think, based on his ability, he is the best football player I have played with.”
“Whenever he comes to the changing room, he still always has a smile on his face,” added Iwobi.
“Everyone is just buzzing for him to be around. He is really missed.”
Cazorla’s injury became so serious doctors considered amputation after the achilles infection began to spread. However, after surgery, the Spaniard is on the road to recovery and could be ready to compete for the second half of the season.
