It’s been an anxious summer for Arsenal fans, but finally things appear to be coming along nicely.

The Gunners are set to secure their fourth signing this week with Nicolas Pepe having completed his medical.

Unai Emery has also welcomed in Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos to the squad on a season long loan replacing Aaron Ramsey – who left on a free to Juventus. 18 year-old starlet Gabriel Martinelli has arrived for a reported £6m fee from Brazil. Whilst teenage enforcer William Saliba, looks set to be a star of the future.

Defensively, the Gunners do look vulnerable. But up top, the club’s fire power could be sensational.

In a 4-3-3 formation, Emery will likely choose to utilise Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as a wide-man. The 30 year-old fired home 22 Premier League goals and 31 in all competitions last season.

Aubameyang was in fine form last season

His partner in crime Alexandre Lacazette, who was awarded Arsenal’s Player of the Season in 2018/19 lead the line superbly. Laca who chipped in with 8 league assists, will als be aiming to improve on his 19 goals in all competitions from centre-forward.

Alongside Laca and on the opposite flank to Auba, Nicolas Pepe. The 24 year-old will become Arsenal’s all time record signing as his £72m move edges closer.

The winger was one of only two players to hit at least 20 goals and 10 assists in Europe’s top five leagues last season.

The other was Lionel Messi.
