While things didn’t go so swimmingly for Arsenal this weekend, they can at least take pride in their representatives who impressed in the various shirts of their new clubs. Arsenal had as many as five players playing for new clubs this weekend, and effectively at that, with most of them getting substantial minutes.
All showed they may be ready to challenge for a place at Arsenal in the future, and there were even some goals to announce!
Carl Jenkinson will have to wait to start his second season with West Ham (unable to play yesterday against parent club of course) as will Wojciech Szczesny with Serie A not scheduled to kick off until the 22nd. Serge Gnabry is expected to start on the bench for West Brom against Man City tonight.
