Chelsea are ready to agree to a David Luiz transfer to Arsenal – for just £8million.
That’s according to reports in The Mirror.
The Brazilian defender had previously been linked to The Emirates in 2018, but a deal never materialised.
Now new Chelsea boss Frank Lampard looks set to lose a integral member of his defence, but the Blues legend is happy to let him go for just £8m ahead of Thursday’s 5pm deadline.
Chelsea have confirmed Luiz did not train with the first team on Wednesday but reject claims in France that he went on strike amid escalating tensions at their Cobham HQ.
After a difficult season at the back, Arsenal continue to be in desperate need for a centre-half – this has only been heightened following the recent departure of captain Laurent Koscielny.

Chelsea fans have noticed that Luiz has apparently removed the Blues’ name from his Twitter and Instagram bios this Wednesday.
The Brazilian does still have his background and profile display with him in a Chelsea kit.
