Arsene Wenger ended his tenure at Arsenal with a 1-0 win over Huddersfield Town.

The boss, who received a guard of honour from the Arsenal and Huddersfield players watched his side take their first away points of 2018.

Both sets of fans gave him a standing ovation after 22 minutes – to celebrate his 22 years in English football – and two planes flew over the ground in the early stages with banners celebrating the Frenchman.

On 38 minutes, after some good work between Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Alexandre Lacazette, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang finished off the move by tapping home Aaron Ramsey’s low cross for his 10th of the season.

It was a good end to a disappointing campaign which has seen Arsenal finish the campaign in 6th position having achieved their lowest points tally under Arsene Wenger.

The Gunners boss, or former Gunners boss leaves the club with three Premier League title triumphs and as the most successful manager in FA Cup history winning the trophy seven times.
