Arsenal have been handed a huge injury boost ahead of their opening Premier League game of the seaosn.
It was feared midfielder Aaron Ramsey had been set to miss Sunday’s tie with Manchester City after suffering a calf injury in a pre-season friendly against Chelsea earlier this month.
The Welshman limped off midway through the second-half of their International Champions Cup clash – which Arsenal ultimately won on penalties.
However, Rambo returned to full training on Thursday having spent the first few days of the week training on his own. It is now believed the 27 year-old will feature for the Gunners this weekend.
Ramsey is still yet to make a formal decision on his future. The Wales international, who’s been tipped for captaincy this season, has entered the final year of his Gunners contract.
It all means Arsenal will lose the star for free next summer should he fail to sign a new deal.
