Arsenal boss Unai Emery has provided a fitness update on Aaron Ramsey’s groin injury picked up in the win over Newcastle.

The Gunners swept aside Rafa Benitez’s men with a comfortable 2-0 win at the Emirates on Monday night.

Ramsey was at the heart of Arsenal’s positive night and even got on the scoresheet himself.

However, the Welshman was substituted in the second half after receiving treatment for an injury, while top scorer Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang started on the bench.

The boss has played down the severity of both problem and believes Rambo could recover in time for Sunday’s clash at Everton.

‘[Aaron Ramsey came off but] it’s only cramp. I don’t think it’s more and I hope he will be ready for Sunday at Everton.

Arsenal go into the game having taken 13 points from the last 15 available. Emery’s side are now in a real position to claim a top four place and ensure a return to Champions League football next season.
