Tottenham Hotspur host Arsenal in the North London Derby in the Premier League this afternoon. The referee is Jarred Gillett and the kick-off is at 14:00. Ahead of the match, we have looked at some of the views from Arsenal Talk.

The Gunners go into today’s match with two wins from three, with the other a draw (2-0 v win Wolves, 0-2 win v Aston Villa and 1-1 v Brighton), while the hosts have won one, draw one and lost one (1-1 v Leicester, 4-0 win v Everton and 2-1 defeat v Newcastle).

SA Gunner: “It’s all about game management with this team, get that right and we’ll win.

What I see with them still is that they want to use their high press as their main form of defence by keeping teams pinned back. So I expect them to target TP5 on the ball and look for turnovers there, and TP5 winning that battle against Maddison or whoever they put on him, this in addition to them aggressively chasing the ball when we build.

There are ways to manipulate them. The first is to use TP5 in the #6 to draw their first line forward and then get the ball in behind that line. The second is to press them high when they look to build short, as they are shaky in that area at times too.

If we take the lead, we can then sit off them and force them to take the risks on the ball, and adapt our build-up play more towards possession play. I’d still press them situationally for high turnovers as well.

They will be right up for this game, playing out of their skins. So we must be ready for that, and maintain composure throughout the 95 minutes.

Two things here… Score first and then manage the game thereafter with no cute passing or gimmicks Raya. If we do that we’ll win, and I think we will do that.

Sp**s 0-2 Arsenal

I hope Jesus is available for this one, we could use his energy and creativity so that he interchanges with Havertz in midfield and upfront.

Wouldn’t mind Calafiori in place of Timber, just to give us more security against their wide player.

Trossard, Martinelli to come on later.”

Riou: “Calafiori in defence and Timber in midfield, can’t be bothered to watch two snails in midfield in a North London derby… Martinelli for Trossard too, need more speed…could easily still beat them even with our absentees, think it will be a very close game though.

The next two league games will be brutal, we probably need at least 4 points from them if we want the title.”

Taylor Gang Gunners: “We’re going to win. Spuds’ suicidal high line is costing them dearly and Big Ange won’t tweak for the NLD through fear of getting that wrong too.

No Rice is a blow, particularly with Merino injured. But we have enough in midfield, attack, and most certainly, defense to secure a win. Let’s make it three in a row at the toilet bowl.”
