Jack Wilshere has reaffirmed his desire to sign a new contract and extend his time at Arsenal.

The midfielder is approaching the end of his current deal which is set to expire next summer.

After overcoming a leg break earlier in the year, Wilshere has established himself  as an integral member of Arsenal’s Europa League and domestic cup competitions.

Arsene Wenger recently revealed the club are set to hold talks with the 25 year-old who received his first Premier League start of the season last week.

“I’m enjoying my football and I love playing in the Premier League now and I want to help Arsenal get to where they should be.

“We just have to sort things out and I’m sure that will happen in the next couple of weeks and it will be sorted.”

Wilshere was rested as Arsenal booked their place in the League Cop semi-final for the first time since 2011. The Gunners will play Chelsea over two legs.
