Jack Wilshere has announced he’s leaving Arsenal.
The 26 year-old, who is out of contract at the end of this month, confirmed he’ll be ending his 17-year spell in north London.
Wilshere signed a five-and-a-half-year deal in 2012, and had been in talks about a new contract.
However, his future at Emirates Stadium was in doubt following the arrival of new manager Unai Emery.
The player confirmed on his Instagram on Tuesday he will be moving on when his contract expires.
He was part of the 2014 and 2015 FA Cup-winning sides and helped the Gunners beat Manchester City 3-0 in the 2014 Community Shield at Wembley.
The midfielder who recently celebrated the birth of his daughter has been linked with a move to West Ham, Crystal Palace and Everton.
Arsenal fans have been reacting to his exit and it’s fair to say they’re not best pleased.
Take a look at what they had to say on Twitter…

Gutted with the news about @JackWilshere, thank you for giving everything when you wore the shirt, thank you for keeping my spirits up and wishing me well whilst I was having surgery, I will miss you, but I wish you all the best with the next chapter in your career.

Jack Wilshere leaving the club is ok, but it’s hard to take if people like Elneny and Iwobi are still there.

We will always have 16 February 2011, the night Jack Wilshere owned Barcelona. It still remains one of the best performances I’ve seen by an Arsenal youngster. Thanks @JackWilshere.

Imagine if you were told this time last year that Wenger, Wilshere, Walcott, Giroud, Cazorla, Mertesacker, Chamberlain, Coquelin & Gibbs would all be departing the club within the next 12 months. Crazy.
