Jamie Carragher has compared Chelsea to Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal following the Blues’ humiliating 6-0 defeat to Manchester City.
A Sergio Aguero double after Raheem Sterling’s opener was followed by a strike from Ilkay Gundogan to leave Chelsea reeling – and with 45 minutes still to play.
The Premier League champions went on to score twice more, with Aguero completing his hat-trick and Sterling grabbing a second.
“I’ve called Chelsea a disgrace before this season,” he said. “This is as bad as anything we’ve seen from them.
“Looking at Sarri, okay, he’s only been there half a season.
“But the worst thing I can say is he’s turned Chelsea into Arsenal.
“[The Arsenal] who got battered away from home because they were too weak. We’re watching a really weak football team here.”
Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal infamously lost 5-1 to Liverpool in 2014, 6-0 to Chelsea in 2014 and were thrashed 5-1 by Bayern Munich twice in the Champions League.
Unai Emery’s side who lost 3-1 to Manchester City a fortnight ago, have also suffered a 5-1 defeat to Liverpool this season.
