Arsenal could offload more players today before the European transfer deadline closes.

Shkodran Mustafi has been told he’s free to leave The Emirates, but so far the Germany defender is yet to find a suitor.

Roma’s £2.5m loan deal for Chris Smalling appears to have ended their interest in the Arsenal defender. However, Metro report that Juventus have turned their attention to the defender following Giorgio Chiellini’s ACL injury.

The Juve skipper had surgery on his right knee and is not expected to play again this year, with the Italian champions keen to bring in cover.

Mustafi is yet to make an appearance for Unai Emery’s side this season, with David Luiz’s arrival pushing him further down the pecking order, and he was again not involved in Sunday’s north London derby.

Mohamed Elneny sealed a loan switch to Besiktas over the weekend. Meanwhile, it was reported late last night that Henrikh Mkhitaryan is being lined up by Serie A side Roma, Calciomercato claim.
