Arsenal legend Martin Keown has hailed the partnership between Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The pair appear to have begun rekindling the scintillating form they showed at Borussia Dortmund after a lethal performance against Watford last weekend.
Aubameyang has scored three times in the Premier League so far. Meanwhile, Mkhitaryan has claimed four assists. The two teed up each other in Arsenal’s 3-0 win over the Hornets and Keown believes the pair have a telepathic understanding.
“Mkhitaryan is starting to be that player who creates things and Aubameyang was always looking in behind Watford.
“They were both good value for money today. That combination play is made in Germany, it’s like a telepathic link up.
“They’ve spent £105m on strikers and this one [Aubameyang] is proving his value.
Unfortunately for the Gunners Aubameyang is ineligible for Thursday’s clash with AC Milan. The Gabon international is forced to miss out having competed in the competition already this season with Borussia Dortmund.
Arsenal have taken a 2-0 lead into the crunch second-leg at the Emirates.
