Valencia are eyeing up a move for Arsenal’s Theo Walcott, but are expected to delay the pursuit until the summer, El Gol Digital reports.

The Spanish side are enjoying a much improved season in La Liga and sit second after 15 games. The club had suggestedly been keen on adding Walcott to their forward line to boost their top four hopes.

The England international has struggled to make an impact this season and is being used sparingly by Arsene Wenger – that’s despite netting over 100 career goals for the club.

Walcott is yet to start in the Premier League, but could figure in the busy festive period.

The report claims Valenicia’s interest in Atletico Madrid striker Kevin Gameiro could mean they hold off their pursuit of the England international who still has 18 months remaining on his current Arsenal contract.

Thoughts, Gooners? Would you be content with Theo leaving? Let us know in the comments…
