Alexandre Lacazette will be aiming to win his first trophy with Arsenal when the Gunners take on Chelsea in next week’s Europa League final.

The Frenchman who took home the Arsenal Player of the Season award enjoyed an impressive campaign for Unai Emery’s debut season.

However, the 27 year-old has revealed his performances which helped his side to a fifth-place finish in the league, as well as a spot in next week’s Europa League final, have not been ‘the best of his career’.

Speaking to Arsenal player, via Goal , he said: “I’ve played the best football of my career this season and for Arsenal, not because of the goals I scored, but in my game – I really improved.

Lacazette scored 13 Prem goals and 8 assists this season

“Being able to contribute without scoring is important for the team. For me, as well as now, I enjoy working like this for my team-mates because I know it is going to be easier for them.

“In the past, I have always learnt that if you work for them, they will give you back the ball fast, and that is why I’m happy to help them.

Lacazette was nominated Player of the Season thanks to his performances both on and off the ball. The Frenchman can add to his 19 strikes so far when the Gunners take on Chelsea in Baku.
